DETAIL SPECIFICATION
DISTRIBUTOR, IGNITION SYSTEM:
INTEGRAL COIL, WATERPROOF 24 VOLT
This specification is approved for use by all Departments
and Agencies of the Department of Defense.
1. SCOPE
1.1 Scope. This specification covers waterproof ignition distributor assemblies with integral ignition
coil and authorized repair parts. These ignition distributor assemblies are designed to operate in 24 volt
(V) direct current (dc) electrical systems and are of breaker point or breakerless design. Ignition
distributor assemblies should be referred to herein as "distributors".
1.2 Classification Distributors should be classified by type and class as follows (see 3.3.1, 6.2 and
6.3).
